NSDMA WILL ORGANISE NEPEx EXCERCISE on Nov 2
The home department, the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), has announced that on November 2, 2023, the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2023 will take place, imitating an earthquake and extreme weather. Every year, NEPEx is organized by NSDMA to evaluate the state’s preparedness for handling disasters.
On October 20, 2023, NSDMA will host a virtual orientation and coordination meeting in preparation for the NEPEx, organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The NSDMA has advised that a link to access the program will be sent out before to its start.

Meanwhile, NSDMA will host NEPEx 2023 preparation activities, including rules and regulations, etc. Coordination meeting (VC mode) for all officials of line agencies on October 20, 2023; Tableau Training (TTEx) for other members including NDRF/SDRF/Para Military/DDMAs/IAG members on October 31, 2023 at ATI Kohima ; Conduct physical education (e.g. PE) in all districts by November 2, 2023 and submit DDMA report to NSDMA by November 6, 2023. private/government schools), a college, a market and a residential home.
DDMAs identify injured and injured volunteers, some of whom may be disabled.DDMA will use trained community first responders/Aapda Mitra wherever possible. The DDMA identified an Interagency Group (IAG) to coordinate NEPEx within the states.Additionally, the DDMA will nominate six persons who have been seen before the Army/SDRF/Customs and other agencies of NEPEx on November 2, 2023.
