The Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) has made the historic decision to merge with the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN), as announced in a joint statement. The leaders of ENNG, President Tosham Mossang and General Secretary Somai Pongha, expressed their confidence in the NSCN/GPRN and its leadership as the primary reason behind this decision. Declaring their sincere support to the leadership of National Socialist Council of Nagalim/Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim and the Framework Agreement, and also to strengthen the ongoing Indo-Naga political talk and for the greater interest of the Nagas,

The ENNG leaders, in their approach to the NSCN for a merger, highlighted their support for the Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015. This agreement is based on recognizing the sovereign rights of Nagalim. The ENNG leaders expressed their commitment to strengthening the Indo-Naga political talks based on this framework. They believe that the merger will not only motivate the people of Tirap, Changlang, and Longding (TCL) in Arunachal Pradesh but also encourage their active participation in the Naga national movement.

The aim of the organisation was to fight for the demands of Myanmar Eastern Nagas and the Nagas of Tirap, Changlang and Longding Districts in Arunachal Pradesh.

We also appreciate the Naga National interest and the concern and love of the NSCN/GPRN for the Naga people in these areas of TCL, though we are divided by the artificial boundaries.

Therefore, integration of all Naga areas and Nagas, wherever we are, must be one of our topmost priorities.

We declared our support for the Indo-Naga political talks and the historic Framework Agreement of 3rd August 2015 signed between the NSCN/GPRN and the Government of India on the foundation of sovereignty and deeply appreciating the position of NSCN/GPRN on the non-negotiable Nagalim National Flag and Constitution, we look forward to offer our genuine and effective assignment for the service of the Naga Nation.

We also wish to highlight and deeply appreciate the role of the Longvibu, the Naga Army for taking sincere efforts for making this unity possible.

Lastly, we would like to appeal to the esteemed authority of NSCN/GPRN to response trust on us with important political responsibility to work effectively for the Nagas and the Naga areas in TCL”, stated the representation jointly signed by President and General Secretary of ENNG.
