(NSCW) has condemned act of rape

The Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) has condemned the heinous act of rape committed on Ngwalwa village, Peren District. “The details of this horrific incident are not only deeply disturbing but an affront to the values and laws of our land. It is imperative that justice be swift and resolute in this case to send a clear message that such acts of barbarism will not be tolerated and the perpetrator be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” stated the NCSW.

The Commission also condemned the incident of molestation on minor students by the School Headmaster in Tuensang. Hence, it urged the law enforcement agencies to take appropriate and befitting action at the earliest. “The increasing crimes against women and children in the State are deeply concerning and alarming,” pressed the NSCW. The Commission further urged every right thinking citizen to condemn such inhumane crime committed on the vulnerable section of the society and that such crimes should be dealt in a serious manner so that no similar incident arises in the future.
