Stop these alleged action otherwise Kukis will be punished
The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) expressed its strong condemnation and reiterated a stern warning against the allegedly unexpected and uncalled-for actions of fully armed Kuki Militants, who have been intimidating workers engaged in restoration and repair work along the Imphal-Ukhrul route as well as stopping and threatening innocent commuters and passengers.
The Tangkhul Naga Long, speaking on behalf of the Tangkhul Naga community, declared in a news release on September 20 that the community had long tolerated the militants’ repeatedly offensive and careless behavior. Despite being wronged, the community had shown the greatest restraint, placing a high value on the maintenance of serenity and peace in the area.
The Tangkhul Naga Long, even in the face of continuous upheaval, now demands an immediate end to these public nuisance actions under their jurisdiction, which has historically been distinguished by peace and tolerance.
The statement offered a strong warning to individuals involved, stating that they would be completely responsible for any undesirable events caused by their provocations. They would be responsible for all unfavorable outcomes that might occur. Along the Ukhrul-Imphal highway, the Tangkhul Naga Long requested the Kuki villagers to seriously consider these happenings and put an end to such annoyances. If any other unfortunate situations occur, failure to comply could result in joint responsibility.
