NPU, Demands Immediate Action Against Physical Assault of 2 Rongmei Naga Girls

The Naga Peoples’ Union Imphal (NPUI) has received information and reports of the subject cited above, and hence, it is pertinent to draw your kind attention and for serious necessary action under the IPC accordingly.
That, the NPUI has received information and reports from reliable sources regarding the physical assault committed upon Miss. Anna Dangmei, Warden of Loyala School,and her younger sister, Miss. Rita Dangmei, hailing from Thingpui (Laimanai) Kabui Naga village. The victims were reportedly captured while travelling in an auto-rickshaw to Shantipur, a Meitei village, and subsequently handed over to Meira Paibis of Ningthoukhong.Thereafter, their credentials were thoroughly checked, but found out to be Naga residents of Thingpui (Lamanai), a Kabui Naga village. However, they were not released but taken away in a vehicle to Bishnupur Community Hall, where both of them were beaten black and blue by a group of women and certain people without any rhyme and reason. Later,the assaulted girls were rescued by the authorities of Loyola School.
That, a unwanted somilan incident was occured that 3 (three) Tangkhul Naga Villagers of Ukhrul District were stopped their vehicle at Swombung Gate under Lamlai Police Station at 8:30 pm by Meira Paibies, those who were checked I.D.’s and Aadhaar Cards identified that they are Tangkhul Naga citizens but they were beaten blue and black.
