Nagaland Artist Brutally Assaulted By Local Youths in Pune

The incident reportedly happened at 8.30pm on Thursday when tattoo artist Benrushen Menthing Lemo was having tea with his friends Chingthu Pom and Boto Sumi at the Achin Hotel near his home.

Three young men on a motorcycle approached the group for no apparent reason and slapped Chingthu on the cheek, leading to a verbal altercation.

Things are moving quickly with the arrival of many consultants. They cursed and beat Lemo and his friend, one of whom was armed with a stick. Chingthu was hit on the forehead and Boto was hit on the cheek with a stone, causing injuries and bleeding.

When in trouble, local resident K Lal Dampuri lends a helping hand. However, faced with threats of violence, the group was forced to flee the scene, losing their phones in the process.

The police arrived after receiving reports from locals and confirmed that Omar Sheikh was the murderer. After receiving treatment at Sassoon Hospital, the people went to Kondhwa police station with the police to lodge a complaint.

Police have registered a case against Omar Sheikh and unknown associates under various sections of the Indian Police Code (IPC), including unlawful assembly, rioting, causing grievous hurt (without weapons), blasphemy, cruelty and assault.
