Twelve armed NSCN (K) cadres with ties to Myanmar who were under the command of Maj. Gen. Tingkam Konyak and Brig. Tampba Konyak have joined the NSCN (R), according to the NSCN/GPRN (Reformation). An official event to “welcome the officers and cadres” was held at CIIQ (Council Head Quarter), Pinhang, Tizit yesterday, according to a news release released by the NSCN (R) today. Both the President and Alo Kilonser expressed their deep joy, praised the officers and cadres for choosing wisely to join the party, and cordially greeted all of the party’s members. The news announcement states that both of the senior officers, Maj. Gen.
Tingkam Konyak and Brigadier Tampha Konyak also expressed gratitude to the NSCN (R)’s overall leadership for providing them with yet another opportunity to serve the country. They pledged to work with renewed zest and determination for the Naga national cause and affirmed their total faith in the capable leadership of President Y. Wangtin Naga and Ato- K. Ilonser P. Tikhak. Additionally, they expressed their displeasure at the murder of Naga brothers in Myanmar.
